One of main features of Longlands has to be the garden. The
walled kitchen garden is a perfect place if you want to do absolutely
nothing whilst on holiday than relax on a deck chair.
Work on restoring
the garden to it's former glory is already underway. Guests will be able
to see an abundance of apple trees, traditional box hedges, asparagus
beds, beds of strawberries and other soft fruit and an extensive vegetable
area which is used to supply the owners restaurants and the main house.
Wide herbaceous borders are being constructed around a central pond, a
large herb garden for guests to use is also a feature. It all provides a
tranquil setting, seconds from your cottage.
